8.5. Coupling

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the check point (see subsection 9.1).
2. Designate the provision of coupling on a flywheel.
3. Gradually turn off bolts in a cross order.
4. Remove coupling, having paid attention to the provision of a frictional disk.

Check

Prevention

It is recommended to change all coupling assembled with the release bearing even if only separate details are subject to replacement.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Carefully clear coupling, having wiped with liquid on a spirit basis.
2. Check wear of frictional slips.
3. If the distance from a surface of a frictional slip to heads of rivets is less or equally to 0,3 mm, then replace frictional slips.
4. Replacement of slips is also required in case of detection of oil traces on them, signs of deformation, cracks of traces of slipping.
5. Check a condition of shlits of a nave of a frictional disk, springs, integrity of rivets.
6. If on a frictional disk oil traces are found, then before installation of a new disk find the reason and eliminate.
7. Check a condition of a press disk, check klepka durability, having shaken a disk.
8. If overheat traces (a bluish shade) are visible or the diaphragm spring weakened, replace coupling.
9. Check a condition of polished surfaces of a press disk and a flywheel.
10. Minor defects to a proshlifuyta, at strong damages of a detail replace.
11. Check a condition of the release bearing, at the slightest defects replace.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Carefully clear surfaces of a flywheel and coupling.
2. Establish a frictional disk so that the nave was turned from a flywheel.
3. Holding a frictional disk, put a coupling basket assembled on adjusting pins, having combined the put tags.
4. Tighten bolts by hand.
5. Center a frictional disk.
6. The disk can be centered, rotating a bar in a nave, resting against an opening of a flywheel or by means of a special mandrel.
7. Evenly, in stages, tighten bolts of fastening of coupling with the set moment.
8. Grease vents of a shaft of the check point and an axis of a fork with a thin layer of refractory lubricant.
9. Establish the check point.
