12. Suspension brackets and steering
Forward suspension bracket
Consists of levers, racks, the stabilizer and a cross-piece. The cross-piece fastens to a body bolts.
Levers are connected to pins spherical hinges.
Back suspension bracket
Like McPherson. Racks fasten to cups of a body and to pins. In the lower part to pins levers of a suspension bracket and longitudinal bars fasten. The stabilizer fastens to a body on arms and is connected by drafts with racks.
Steering
The steering shaft single-section, is located in the steering column strengthened by bolts on a partition of a motor compartment. The shaft is connected with the steering mechanism via the cardan hinge. The steering mechanism fastens on a partition of a motor compartment, is connected with pins through steering drafts and tips.
Since 1994 cars are equipped with the safety cushions mounted in the center of a steering wheel. Pillows work in case of accident. The command for operation is given from the processor block which obtains information from the corresponding sensors. Check of pillows is carried out only in service of Nissan car service.
