9.2.7. Double switch of a backing and blocking of a starter
Adjustment of the double switch

The switch is screwed in a forward part of a case of transmission and performs two functions – prevents inclusion of a starter only in provisions of the N or P selector and includes a backing signal in position of the selector R.
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. If the starter joins in other provisions than N or P, then the switch is faulty, or its adjustment is broken. |
2. If also tail light is not turned on, then the switch should be checked. |
3. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports. |
4. Disconnect the socket from the switch. |

5. Check resistance between conclusions in provisions of the N, P or R selector. At the serviceable switch in provisions of the N and P selector contacts 1 and 2 are closed, and in position of the selector R contacts 3 and 4 are closed. |
6. If these contacts do not become isolated, then release bolts of fastening and adjust the switch. |
7. If adjustment does not yield result, then replace the switch. |

Removal
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports. |
2. Disconnect the socket. |
3. Turn off three bolts, get the switch from the selector mechanism. |

Installation
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. Install the switch, tighten bolts. |
2. Transfer the selector to situation N. |
3. Insert into an opening in the top part of the selector a drill with a diameter of 4 mm and pass in a switch lever opening. |
4. Tighten bolts and get a drill. |
5. Attach wires and check operation of the switch. |
