Prevention

If it is uncovered without violation of fastening and integrity of consolidation of a head of cylinders, then after assembly the weak leak of oil from under the laying established between a cover and a head of cylinders is possible. Therefore it is expedient to combine removal of a cover with removal of a head of cylinders and replacement of laying.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the pump of cooling liquid (cm. subsection 4.7).
2. Remove a crankshaft pulley (cm. subsection 3.1.1.5).
3. Remove the oil pallet and an oil receiver with the filter of rough cleaning (cm. subsection 3.1.1.12).
4. Turn off two bolts of fastening of an arm of the pump of the hydraulic booster to a cover of the chain drive, a nut and bolts of fastening of an arm to the pump and remove an arm.
5. Remove an arm from a support of the power unit, having turned off three bolts and having released conducting from collars on an arm.
6. Turn off bolts and nuts (are specified by shooters) and remove a viewing cover of gear wheels of the gas-distributing mechanism on the right side of a head of the block of cylinders. Remove laying.
7. Turn off two bolts and get a natyazhitel of the lower chain. Remove laying of a natyazhitel, having paid attention to its orientation.
Prevention

At removal of a natyazhitel of a chain rotation of the crankshaft is not allowed.
8. Turn off four bolts of fastening of a head of cylinders to the top part of a cover of the chain drive. On cars of early releases access to one of bolts is required to remove an uspokoitel of the top chain.
9. Raise the engine a jack or you will hang out on an elevator waist, having hooked on waists for special eyes on the engine.
10. Turn off a coupling bolt of the right support of the power unit, then turn off three bolts and remove a support. If rubber pillows of support lagged behind a body arm, then remove also pillows.
11. Turn off bolts of fastening of an arm and a bolt of fastening of an adjusting bracket of the generator to an arm. Remove an arm of the right support.
12. Turn off bolts of a cover of chains. Bolts have the different length therefore, it is necessary to mark their initial situation.
13. Uncover a crankshaft sock, then manipulating, get a cover from a motor compartment. Take a sealant of oil channels, they should be replaced surely. If the directing cover pins weakened, then get them and you store together with a cover.
14. Remove the shaped plug of the leading gear wheel of the oil pump from a crankshaft sock.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installation it is recommended to replace a crankshaft epiploon.
2. Press a new epiploon against the stop in a fillet. To press the mandrel resting only against an external edge of an epiploon.
3. Make sure that the condensed surfaces of a cover and the block of cylinders pure and dry.
4. Insert new sealing plugs into oil canals of the block of cylinders.
5. Apply a thin film of sealant on a demountable surface (shooter) of a cover with the block of cylinders, apply sealant also on the site around the channel of the pump of cooling liquid in the central part of a cover. If the head of cylinders was not removed, then apply also sealant and on the top plane of a cover.
6. Insert the directing pins into the block of cylinders.
7. Combine a flute under a spline in the plug of the oil pump with a spline, then dress the plug on a crankshaft sock (shooters specified the directing pins).
8. Bring a cover and expose the leading gear wheel of the oil pump so that the gear wheel came on the shaped plug at installation of a cover into place. Dress a cover on the crankshaft, watching to damaging working edges of an epiploon, establish a cover on the directing pins.
9. Wrap bolts of fastening of a cover in former openings, tighten bolts in stages, gradually increasing the inhaling moment.
10. Wrap four bolts of M6 of fastening of a head of the block of cylinders to a cover, tighten bolts with the set moment. On engines of early releases establish the top guide.
11. Establish new laying on a natyazhitel of the lower chain, having oriented it so that the cut on laying was combined with a lubricant opening of a natyazhitel (it is specified by an arrow). Establish a natyazhitel with laying and tighten bolts with the set moment.
12. Ustanovitekronstein of the right suspension bracket of the power unit, tighten bolts with the set moment. Lay rubber pillows in a suspension bracket arm from a body (if got), having convinced that pins of pillows entered openings in an arm. Establish a support and tighten bolts with the set moment.
13. Combine the right support of the power unit with a body arm, insert a coupling bolt and tighten a nut with the set moment. Remove from the waist engine (or remove a jack).
14. Be convinced of purity and lack of traces of moisture and oil on the condensed surfaces of a viewing cover of the conducted asterisks of cam-shafts and heads of cylinders. If on a cover laying was established, then replace laying, having established it on a head of cylinders. If consolidation was provided with sealant, then apply sealant on all perimeter of a cover. Establish a cover and tighten bolts and nuts with the set moment.
15. Establish an arm on the right support of the power unit and tighten arm bolts with the set moment.
16. Install the pump of the power steering on the engine and tighten pump arm bolts.
17. Establish an oil receiver with the filter of rough cleaning and the oil pallet (cm. subsection 3.1.1.12).
18. Establish a crankshaft pulley (cm. subsection 3.1.1.5).
19. Install the pump of cooling liquid (cm. subsection 4.7).
20. Fill the engine with oil and cooling liquid.
