2.3.2. Replacement of the fuel filter

Prevention

When replacing the filter follow fire safety regulations.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. The fuel filter is mounted on a partition of a motor compartment on the left side. Before removal pay attention to orientation of the filter.
2. Get the filter from spring brackets and disconnect hoses from the filter. On cars with injector engines disconnect hoses from the filter after performance of actions for a decompression of fuel system (see subsection 6.2.7).
3. The filter is subject to utilization.
4. Attach hoses to the new filter, establish them in holders. The arrow on the filter case (if it is provided) has to specify towards the hose bringing fuel to the engine.
5. Insert the filter into brackets.
6. Start the engine, be convinced of lack of a leak of fuel.
