12.8.4. Nave case

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift a back part of the car and establish on supports.
2. Remove a wheel.
3. On cars with back disk brakes remove a disk and a support, without disconnecting a hose.
4. On cars with back drum brakes remove blocks and disconnect a tube from the cylinder.
5. Turn off a bar nut on the case of a nave and remove a washer.
6. Turn off nuts of an axis of levers on the nave case.
7. Turn off nuts of racks and remove the nave case.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Check a condition of the case, at detection of cracks and damages replace assembled with the bearing.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Put on a bar the nave case.
2. Wrap new nuts of a rack and tighten with the set moment.
3. Attach levers and screw axis nuts.
4. Put on a washer and screw a new nut of a bar.
5. On cars with back drum brakes establish blocks and attach a tube.
6. Remove air from a hydraulic actuator.
7. On cars with back disk brakes establish a disk and a support.
8. Establish a wheel and lower the car.
9. Roll the car forward and back, shake up – down.
10. Tighten nuts with the set moment.
11. Check a convergence of back wheels.
