6.3.1.13.1. Fuel injector

Prevention

You watch precautionary measures in subsection 6.3.1 before work. If you consider that the injector failed, try to clear it by means of an appropriate means for cleaning of injectors, such as Holts Redex Injector Treatment.

Removal and installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect a wire of the negative plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove a casing of the air filter (see subsection 6.3.1.2).
3. Walk along a wire from an injector and disconnect the connection socket.
4. Release pressure from fuel system (see subsection 6.3.1.7).
5. Turn off two fixing screws of a cap of an injector, then, remove a cap and laying.
6. Get an injector from the case of a butterfly valve and remove sealing washers and consolidations.
Prevention

The injector can sit tight in the nest. In this case, do not try to extend it for wires. Remove the top part of the case of a butterfly valve and push out an injector from a nest.

7. If the injector needs to be replaced, it is necessary to exempt its wires from the connection socket.
8. For this purpose, remove a fixing clip behind the connection socket, then, by means of the small screw-driver, release the corresponding wires and push out their plugs from the connection socket.
9. Remember or mark the provision of installation of each of wires in the socket of connection and try not to damage plugs of wires at their removal.
10. If you do not want to disassemble the connection socket, the injector can be removed together with the device of increase in speed of operation of the engine in the mode of idling and the additional valve of air supply.
11. Installation is carried out upside-down removals.
12. At installation it is necessary to pay attention to the next moments.
13. Establish a new sealing washer and consolidations of an injector, and also, new laying for an injector cap.
14. At installation of a new injector, insert plugs of its wires into the corresponding nests on the connection socket.
15. Check that they were reliably recorded, then, establish a fixing clip behind the connection socket.
10. Check that wires correctly settled down in the connection socket. If is not present, after connection of the socket of connection the injector will correctly not work.
